"Long considered the east end season opener, the Mighty Montauk Triathlon, founded by the late Robert J. Aaron, would be celebrating its 26th anniversary this year. It features a very scenic course through the beautiful hamlet of Montauk. The race consists of a 1 mile swim, 22 miles bike and 6.2 miles run. This fun event is USAT sanctioned."
