ENTRIES FOR 21st ANNUAL RUNNER’S EDGE-TOBAY TRIATHLON ARE CLOSED!
The Greater Long Island Running Club regrets to advise that our quota of participants for the August 24, 2008 Runner’s Edge-TOBAY Triathlon has been reached and the event is now CLOSED to further entrants.
Missed out this year? How about “giving back” and being a part of the Tri as a volunteer? We really need your help and would very much appreciate it. Volunteering can give you a great perspective of the sport. Call Mindy Davidson at (516) 520-9481 or email her at mindyruns@aol.com.
Entrants ARE still being accepted for the Runner’s Edge-TOBAY Junior Triathlon on Saturday, August 23, and we very much encourage you to sign up the kids for that outstanding event. It’s for youngsters ages 8 through 13 – a 200 yard swim, 2.5 mile bike, and 1 mile run, all within the friendly confines of Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay. The Junior Tri will start at 9:00 AM, with packet pickup from 7:15 AM to 8:30 AM. There will be medals for all finishers. The entry fee will remain at only $20, as we are very much interested in introducing as many young people as possible to triathlons.
